‘Tis the Season…

My guess is that you either love this time of year or hate it.  Despite the busyness and madness involved with shopping, I’ll admit that I love it.  Yeah, you can call me sentimental (I am) or a born romantic (guilty as charged) but I find my heart softening (for which my family is thankful!) and my generosity increasing (for which certain charities are thankful!)

Which brings me back to why I’m posting today.  Yesterday, while cooking homemade soup (“oh, geez, here it comes!”) and Pandora played Christmas songs (yes, I’m this cheesy!) I gazed out the kitchen bay window.  Grazing in the mist…(wait for it!) was a doe.  Honest!  I almost shouted, “On Donner and Blitzen!” It was a sensory shot of Christmas Cheer!

So how about you?  Do you love this season or loth it?

I've played bass for Shania Twain, had a black rhino charge me while on safari, and I've been in the Oval Office. In high school, I went backstage to interview groups like Bob Seger, Rush and Kansas, sorta like "Almost Famous" but without Kate Hudson! As an author, I draw from all these experiences (and then some) when crafting my stories. The quote that sums me up the best is by G.K. Chesterton: "Nay, the really sane man know that he has a touch of the madman." I'm married, the father of four wonderful children, and a proud grandfather. I currently live near Nashville, TN where I write, bike and am always on the prowl for adventure and stories.

    1. That’s always my goal, too, but being self-employed, my “funds” never seem to match my “plan.” Nevertheless, it always seems to work out.
